The concept is to import data for each project into one place so users can see what's been earned, what's been billed and what's been posted to the ledger.

The concept is to import data for each project into one place so users can see what's been earned, what's been billed and what's been posted to the ledger.

The data warehouse does this within maadi. It brings together data from finance systems, spreadsheets and project tools, and provides the foundation for ProjectSync.

Audit transparency

Imports show what will change, then report what worked and what failed. Records that fail validation go into a queue to be fixed. Each field has a history showing who changed it, when and which system it came from.

Data accuracy

Being able to trust the data is critical when making high stakes split-second project decisions.

The same customer or project can appear in several systems. Matching rules bring those records together. If a match isn’t clear, someone reviews it. Matches can be reversed without deleting the original records.

See what's happening on the project

Time, orders, invoices, variations and costs are linked to the project’s work breakdown structure. Costs, revenue and margin add up through that structure, with the transactions available underneath.

For example, a purchase order shows the committed cost when it’s raised. You don’t have to wait for the invoice. Agreed variations have their own records and sit within the same project structure. Across projects, you can see what’s on hold, overdue, un-billed or inactive.

Connect the project number to finance

Billable time and costs awaiting invoicing are held against each project. Finance uses the same records to post revenue and costs to the ledger. Reconciliation shows what’s linked and what still needs attention, so you can check the project figures against the ledger. We configure the revenue recognition method during implementation.

Use the data where you need it

MaaDXL lets you export data to Excel and import it again, using the same validation as the screens in maadi. The API gives other systems and BI tools read and write access. Updates can also go back to source systems where their APIs support it. Record types, forms, fields and project templates are configured in maadi.

Questions, answered plainly.

Where does our data live?

Who owns the warehouse, models and code?

Can we leave maadi later without rebuilding everything?

What if Postgres is not the right platform for us?

How are security, permissions and access handled?

Can maadi work with our existing warehouse or BI stack?

What happens when a source system or API changes?

What exactly is managed by maadi?

How quickly do we see the first useful output?

Don't wait until your next change request to find out what your warehouse costs.
